A Deb Ball is big in country and rural Areas of Australia it is supposed to be a girls first coming out in society but now it is kind of just a ball with white dresses and fights over flowers and the like!

Triumph! It was a great evening. My bf was my partner and I had 4 of my friends doing it with me. We hired a limo, the dances went perfectly, the photos were beautiful and the after party was at my farm, in the shed with heaps of music. Everyone stayed over in swags and my Dad cooked us breakfast in the morning. I remember feeling very sad that my Mum wasn't there to see me ( she died when I was 8) and all my friends had their mum's there with them.

My deb ball was a long time ago now. The disaster was that the photographers studio burned down and this resulted in no professional photos except the ones we took or the local paper. I also had a disaster with my first hairstyle and had to be taken to another hairdresser later that afternoon in tears to have it fixed. Apart from that it was good. So they were minor disasters as the hair was fixable and we have one or two pics to remember it by. It wasn't the highlight of my life though and I don't know whether I'll bother allowing my 2 daughters to do it. Looking back it was something I did because my friends all did it.

I never even went to my deb ball. Its really not a big deal in Australia
