Why or for what reason is Terrorism the lead in most stories today??? Why has terrorism eclipsed all other stroies in America?

Terrorism is a tool then for governments to employee when putting forth their own agendas....interesting. I like your answer RMPRRMBOU

The fear factor has been around for a long time. The word tool seems to fit. When government wants to turn the screws on its people what better word can there be. The new word is Radical Islam. Made radical by whome.

One very effective way of countering these effects is through Humanitarian Efforts....There is real evidence that this actually works. Since terrorism is born of violence.

It does not take a catostrophic failure to mobilize government if government is doing its job in the first place. Catostrophic events do not occure because of inability to mobilize money or action they occure because of a lack of proper leadership, and planning or the deliberate action of government itself nation building, and being involved in clandestine operations, and even to put forward its own agenda, Patriot Act. Many of these events could have been avoided had the U.S. government not been so deeply tied to Israel. Have you ever herd of Menachem Begin? The Israeli leader, he was once the leader of the Irgun Movement. Once viewed as a terrorist organization in 1940. Our involvement with Israel should not dictate what our actions nor should it decide our childrens fate.

Terrorism strikes fear into peoples beliefs in being safe. Everyone wants to feel relatively safe whether at home or out on the street. Terrorism headlines sell newspapers, much as little green martians sell scandal magazines. The government uses the word also to entice people to approve spending for measures to prevent terrorism. It is a great buzz word.

Because the liberal media want to use that to influence the weak minded. Notice how there is always a negative spin to it, versus showing the good things in Iraq that are being done. Also notice that we never get any numbers on how many insurgents got killed each day, just how many of our guys died.

Bad news always sell and that is the major headlines on the newspaper today . As well i believe that the politicians need the media to sell their actions whether they are good or not to the public and using this as form of deed to American Public . Because our government wants us to be afraid. By installing fear into us, it gives the government power over us as a whole. So that when our government needs to pass laws that take our rights from us, we let them do it. Take the Patriot Act for example. After 911 we gave up so many rights that just with the PA they can do anything that they want to. ......Just think how bad it will be one day when we freely give up our guns?
