Recently I saw a TV programme about Savants (exceptionally gifted people).
Some of them were Autistic, others had accidental brain dammage.
It seems that many famous people have had mental defects of one kind or another

yes I have worked with several savants. I have worked in social services for 27 years, and savants are fascinating people.

I feel that I am a hard person to get to know and understand - in fact I don't know anyone who is exactly on my way length - otherwise I would not have to continually explain myself. However, the person who I feel gifted is a consultant at my local hospital - he listens and never passes judgement and re-assures me that my way of thinking is more than acceptable to him. He has a Greek philosophy way of thinking which I feel is the tops of humanity.

omggg i saw that. the brain man. he was amazing. could count to pi to about 2 thousand something. and he does the calander math thing

yes. but they are soooo smart that they went mad (crazy) and were locked up in a mental institution.
