when jasmine 7 aladdin are on the magic carpet singing their song... she says "every moment red letter" what does that mean?

***Surprisingly, there are two different versions of the same song! This version below has the line that includes "red-letter" but the another version completely eliminates that line. Instead it reads: "Every moment gets better." Wow! I wonder why there was a switch of words?
