My Guinea Pig died with in the last day and he had been fine before that. When I found him he was missing hair on his side, his ear had been chewed off and his foot was chewed up. The only thing in the cage was the other Guinea Pig. They lived together for about two or three years since they were babies and never fought. They were both males. Do Guinea Pig's normally chew/eat others that die or were they fighting and I didn't know it?

I'm sorry for your loss!

He might have nibbled at him to try and "wake him up". :(

If your guinea pig had hair loss, did you notice him scratching a lot before he died? If you notice your other boy losing hair and scratching a lot take him to a veterinarian because that could be a sign of mites.

i would say that your live one got curious and tasted his brother. they are getting pretty old, so he prob. died of natural causes. don't worry.
