I think it's because guys mature mentally much later than women.

This is going to sound terrible but guys will tell you anything to get into your panties. If you dont want the guy to walk out on you when he finds out either keep your legs closed or take precautions, a guy can only do what you allow. You are just as much responsible. You also should be in a secure relationship before you ever think about having unprotected sex. Unfortunately people today dont know the people they are having sex with very well and that is why these type things happen. Dont jump into bed with people that are not responsible. Bottom line.

I think men don't want to take responsibility for their actions because they don't want the financial burden, nor do they want their lives taken away by all the sudden having to step up being a father.
Some of the younger guys are too worried about what others might think, they give into social pressures and would rather deny it than step up and take responsibility.
Some guys are immature and figure that if you slept with them, then you may have slept with someone else, so therefore they don't step up because they think its not theirs.
Others are worried about what there family would do or say if they found out. Some just feel guilty for making the stupid decision to have unprotected sex when they know they aren't ready to be a daddy.

Because they are immature and let the brain in their pants dictate orders to the brain in their head. Guys are all about sex and when/where they can get it ---especially when they are young boys. They know that they don't have to suffer any of the consequences--females carry the baby, females birth the baby and females are, usually, the primary care givers. Plus, they have that old, "Prove it's mine!" excuse. And, the only way to answer that is via an expensive DNA test. However, I must add this, you shouldn't sleep with a guy that you feel isn't responsible enough to handle the consequences---and I mean you need to be 100% certain. Not all men are so childish--but they are hard to find.

Not all do -- only the immature and/or the irresponsible. Yes, "it takes two to tango." But then both should have to face the consequences. However, it is the woman who has to carry the baby for nine months, go through labor, and usually has the primary responsibility for raising the child. I have a feeling that, if it was the other way around, some men would be a bit more careful in their decisions.

Because guys dont want to grow up and face the responsibility of parenthood. It is hardwired into a male brain to pass on his genes, but it is hardwired into a female brain to be the nurturing parent. But caring about his actions is a skill that a guy must learn, and if he doesnt have good role models as he is growing up, then he will not likely learn to be responsible until he gets a bit older....like maybe 50 !

Sounds like you slept with the wrong guy. Sex is a two-way thing. Guys just don't "get you pregnant". You're both equally responsible for your actions.
As a father, I can't think of anything better in the world than to have and raise children.
Find the right man before you sleep with them.

You sound hot. Are you hot?

Well now not ALL guys do that! Many guys are scared of commitment and the overwhelming responsibility it is to have a baby. As a society we generally make it easier and more socially acceptable for the Dad to walk away from his child. The Mom is left to raise him or her. Even though the Dad chooses not to a part of his babies life he is still obligated to provide some support for the baby. Goo luck!

Because they are poking something at you in fun and you take it seriously they are going to grow up? They are boys until at least 30 and I can say that with surity as the mother of two sons. You were not acting responsibly when you had sex so why would they think you were going to go all serious? It's you stuck with a baby so why should he worry? You may as well realize the baby is yours as soon as he gives it to you and he has had his fun. You don't want to have to grow up either but when the baby is stuck in your belly what choice do you have. I suppose you believed all that love you forever crap he laid on you? He loves you until the next football game is on TV then you can walk past him stark naked and he'll yell at you to move and get him a beer while you are up anyway. Welcome to life.

Not all guys do and it's not all that mature to make a blanket statement about ALL guys when all you can speak about are the guys that YOU know personally. In order for you to get an answer to your question you will have to ask the guy who is the problem rather than blaming every guy on the planet for your problem. Why did YOU spread your legs and allow a guy to deposit his sperm and now want to whine instead of taking responsibility for YOUR actions? It takes two to make a baby you know...

Shouldn't the female take equal responsibility? Yeah guys can use a condom but there are precautions a girl can take as well.
