if you are referring to the big purple dinosaur, there were rumours that the person in the suit was a child molestor but I think it was just an urban legend. Just because a dinosaur is purple and talks with a lisp doesn't mean he his gay or a child molestor.

Barney is just a costume, that VARIOUS people dress in. barney has been around for how many years? the same person that was there when it first came out couldn't possibly be the one in there now. There was a man awhile ago who worked as Barney and was in jail for child rape, however, when they found out about it, he was fired.
it's a children's show. If you watch any other similar show, such as teletubbies or the wiggles, you'll notice that they all behave towards chldren in the same way.

why do people keep asking questions about child molesters in the LGBT forum? considering the vast majority are heterosexual males, I find this confusing and a bit insulting.
