Are fenders any good?

Fenders are simply the best. I have a Stratocaster, a Telecaster and a Jaguar. I love them.

Fenders are great but can get expensive. If you are a beginner I'd recommend getting a Squire which is made by Fender but is a cheaper brand. Also If you are into Gibson guitars you can purchase a Epiphone, which is made by Gibson but manufactored in another country.

Epiphone. You're buying a Gibson made guitar for a fraction of the price. Case and point......the Zakk Wylde Gibson Bullseye Les Paul is around $3500.00, and the Epiphone is $700.00. Both are pretty much the same guitars except for the pickups and the headstock! Both are maple topped bodies with glued in 'through body' necks. same goes with all of their other models, look at the websites.

Get a Squire Strat...you can pick one up for about a hundred bucks...they are pro quality and will take you a long way toward getting something better later on...
