Sure, feed away with the worms. Most types of worms are perfectly safe and good for fish. No particular season, anytime you can find them go for it.

It depends on the type of fish. Some like blood worms, other meal worms or earth worms.Keep in mind worms can very easily foul you tank and buying worms at pet stores can be very expensive. Most fish do very well on dry food flakes or pellets. But, if you like you can test feed your fish different worms and if they seem to prefer them -go for it.

Fish seem to like them. I've used bloodworms (live and frozen), blackworms, and red wigglers, depending on the size of the fish. They're a nice treat, high protein, softer & moister than pellets and flakes, and a good conditioning food for breeding.

The biggest source of concern is the source of the worms and possibility of contaninemts or parasites that would be introduced.

Yummy snacks! No specific season. Fish love worms in all seasons, although it may be difficult finding worms if you live in a snowy area. You should make sure you dig them from areas that haven't been treated with fertilizers or pest killers. Also, you may wish to keep them in a clean, indoor holding bin for a few days so that they "poop" out all the bad dirt and stuff inside them. Then chop and serve! Yum....

I wouldn't you could introduce parasites into the system and fish. Insted use Hiriki frozen blood worms or brine shrimp. Live foods from the garden are asking for trouble.

I always fed mine live or frozen blood worms. They just have more nutrients than usual fish food.

Live food is generally more trouble than it's worth. Sure in theory it's more nutritious, but it's hard to keep. Also live food can carry disease. I prefer freeze dried foods like blood worms, brine shrimp.... Sterile, and easy to store.

Live worms make the tank nasty. They like dryed worms pretty good.
