Try http://www.ballroomdancers.com they have short videos with steps and count. There are instructional DVDs you can buy on http://www.dancevision.com. You can't learn from movies like "Step up" or "Shall We Dance" because they don't explain anything and often enough they don't show the whole body - only the feel or only the head, but this is not how you learn. It is best and most efficient if you take some dance classes.

Please don't put yourself down as "white, therefore with no rhythm" because it offends many white people who have rhythm. Rhythm is something everyone is born with. If you don't use it you loose it, or you use it and improve it. If you lost it you can get it back, but only if you don't put yourself down as uncapable. I really hope you were joking.

"and im white so i have no rhythm to start off with." What's that supposed to mean?? No matter what skin colour you have, you need to work to get things you want to get!

There are many "white people" who are good at what's supposed to be "black music/dance"... I'm sorry if i seem to be nagging but i'm totally against any racism... But to reply, i may advise you to take a look at youtube.com, there are many competitions and sometimes videos of people teaching,,,

and if you like dance movies, "take the lead" is a movie where they teach dance, tango, and everything to students...

"step up" also is a good movie but it's mainly hip hop and not salsa

"well, good luck
