I have not been able to find anything about the PS3 SixAxis controller. I just got a PS3 and am wondering if the SA (SixAxis) is a rip-off of the wii controller. Also, is it only used for certain games, or can it be used for any game?

Only certain games make use of the motion controller. The bad thing about it is that it doesn't have rumble. It can't do full motion like the Wii controller.
Rumors have just come out that Sony will be releasing another controller with rumble in several months.

Here's an article on the Sixaxis. http://ps3.ign.com/articles/740/740746p1.html

well first it was only announce like 15 mintes after wiis was (i dont know if this is exact but they were announced the same day)
but even tho the sixaxis does have good motion techology (read other answers for details) the wiimote/nunchuck can be much more sencitive and thus more fun to overuse

Its just a tilt sensor in the controller It picks up the the controller is tilted in any direction, NOTHING like the Wii controller I do think Sony did put that on there at the last min just to say they have motion sensitive controllers

You have to enable it. ANd is it a rip off - doubt it -the technology has been around for years. Download the moto storm demo and try the six axis out. it's pretty awesome once you get used to it.
