My friend took a job with a US company that went to Nigeria. Their boss used most of the money (after they got there) for equipment, and can only pay in US money orders. Supposedly they can only be cashed in the US. But is there a way to cash them in Nigeria, or somewhere in Africa?

Your friend is scamming you. Any US company first, would never pay their money in a money order. Come on, you think "the Donald" pays in money orders? NO. I do business overseas all the time, we wire, and we wire Euros or whatever that country uses. YOU are being scammed big time. You will cash the MO, send to your friend, but keep some for your trouble and then you can be held liable for the money you just ripped off of the place that cashed it, and if they find yuo knew about it you can go to jail.
