Does anyone know if Dell is going to make an update to accomadate the new time changing (day light saving time) situation? I know that apple and some other companies are going to make an update, but does anyone know if Dell is going too, if so where can i find it?

You don't need anything from Dell...just the update for your Operating System...MS has info on updating this...see link below. There are easy patches for some versions and manual instructions for others...

Microsoft is the one that will be offering the update probably through their update service. If you're running Vista, no need to worry about it. XP, the easiest way is to make sure that computer updates are set to Automatic or at least notify you.

To do this:

Startmenu -> Control Panel -> Security Center-> Security Link

Then you have a window that will tell you if updates are automatic and will allow you to change setting if needed.

The time indicated on your computer has nothing to do with the company that made the computer. The time is synchronized with your Windows program or the server you use. Normally it will change on its own. If yours does not change for some reason, just right click on the time shown and adjust the time/date. You can right click on it now to see what I'm talking about. Don't sweat the easy stuff!

Dell wouldn't be doing it as it's the operating system that controls the timezone settings. So, look to Microsoft for a patch, if any...
