OK I AM NOT SAYING THAT THESE THINGS ARE HAPPENING TO THEM OR THAT WE WANT THEM TO. ALL I AM SAYING IS THAT WE NEED TO KNOW AT WHAT AGE TO WATCH FOR CERTAIN THINGS! WE DO TALK TO THEM ABOUT SMOKING AND WHATNOT AND DISCOURAGE THEM AT EVERY DISSCUSION!

Watch them like a hawk. Things are very different today than they used to be - but some things are centuries old.....
I think being raised properly, love, discipline and good parenting give kids a great foundation that they can base their actions on. You don't say what "older" is..... I think it's unfortunate that people "put it all out there" today......takes all the mystique away... they don't know what they're missing.....
Guidance and example is all there is. There comes a point when children become adults and have to make their own decisions. The most you can do - is remind them of consequence of their actions. Seems like no one is 'responsible' any more.

Well it all depends on the person and when they are ready for the things. It also depends on who they hang out with for all the drugs drinking lying sneaking out.
*For my first kiss I was 10 but just a quick peck I was 15 for the real kiss.
*I lost my virginity at 17
*My first boyfriend was at 10, first real love was at 17
*I never really had a first date it just came hand in hand with boyfriends
*I never really skipped school i'd leave early with friends sometimes and that was in high school
*First time i smoked weed was probably when i was 15 and it was also a last time for me
*I drank probably the same time at 15
*I never snuck out. My parents weren't very strict so i could come and go as i wished within reason. Just don't be too strict with going out or any of these topics because that makes kids rebel more. Thats just my opinion
*Cigarettes I tried like in 6th grade..pretty young
*I'd say lying to parents comes when your in junior high or high school. I never really did and thats how i gained their trust
Just remember you were young once so don't get too mad with these things just be there to support them and let them know that they can come to you no matter what happens and that will make for a really great and trusting relationship. Me and my mom have a mother daughter relationship and a friendship. Thats always a good thing to have.

I agree with Maria. You need to discuss things with the girls instead of expecting bad things to happen with them which are NOT the norm.
For me, these are the ages I experienced them:
1. First Kiss: 15
2. Losing Virginity: 32 (I waited until I was ready, no peer pressure BS for me)
3. First Boyfriend: 15
4. First Date: 16 (my first boyfriend & I went on our first date the next summer. He lived 2 hours away from me.)
5. Start Skipping School: Never
6. Getting High: Never
7. Drinking: Never
8. Sneaking out: Never
9. Cigarettes: Never
10. Lying to parents: Never
Yes, I was one of the good ones. But, I am in better shape than many of my former classmates who did numbers 2, 5 through 10 above.

Well obviously every teenager is different but I'll try answer- keep in mind I was 13, 8 years ago
1. I was 13
2. 15- I had been dating my boyfriend from age 12
3. Age 12 (we dated til we were 16)
4. 12
5. 16
6. I have never tried this- friends of mine did but I have never been interested
7. 16
8. Never snuck out
9. 17- I smoked for 3 years and then quit
10. I don't think I ever lied about this- my parents always drove me to parties and then picked me up afterwards.
Just make sure that you speak openly to them about the dangers of drinking, smoking weed, or whatever drugs, and give them the sex talk. I told my mum as soon as I lost my virginity and she talked to me about contraception etc and she told me that she did not mind me having sex with my boyfriend as long as if/when we broke up I knew not to sleep around etc. This was the best advice because so many young girls now days are very slutty- I'm 21 and so many kids have slept with double the amount of men I have been with.
*Being open with them and giving them a bit of freedom whilst still keeping a bit of a lead on them seems to work the best.
Good luck- you will have some pretty full on years ahead of you :)

There is and will never be an exact age for the things listed. It happens when they're ready. I was 13 for my first kiss, but I'm 18 and haven't lost my virginity. It really depends, but talking to them will make them know that you're aware of what's going on and they should feel comfortable to talk about these things.

I was 15 when I had my first kiss, lost my virginity at 15, had my first boyfriend at age 15, dated when I was 15, never skipped school except for appointments and when I was sick, never got high yet, don't drink, don't sneak out, don't take cigareettes, and started to lie to my parents about where I was going at age 16.

you do not could desire to lose it because of fact it somewhat is 'commonly used'. heavily - I do love my boyfriend extra desirable than everyone and we knew that condoms are not one hundred% yet i'm pregnant and that i choose i might have waited. truthfully, according to danger it somewhat is the plan for me yet whilst i'm going to have an analogous opportunities i might wait till a minimum of 18. are you waiting to deal with a infant? If the respond isn't any, do not do it.

i think that it is probably better if you provide your children and nieces with information on these topics and explain to them the risks. it is more important that they realize that they can have open discussions with you about these topics than you worrying about them getting caught doing them.
i would also try to get to know the people they are hanging around with. if there is someone you get a bad feeling about you shoudl probably not let them see that person anymore.
