Yes, they are a very old culture, in fact one of the oldest. Used to be part of the USSR but are now independent. The first country in the world which adopted Christianity as an official religion. They have their own alphabet and speak and write in Armenian. They have nice cuisine. Many immigrants of Armenian origin all over the world because of the wars and genocide in the last centuries.
Unfortunately I have not been there, but would love to go.

Ahh..Dont read this rubbish of first lady,Armenia is independit country wich situated near Georgia,Azeirobojan and Iran,so they are friends of Russia,speak on russian and looks like armenian,like singer Sher(she armenian).....capitol of Armenia is Yerevan,Armenia is good partner of EU and Russia.....i never been there,but near my region their local region,they live near me since turkian genocide from 18 cent. and last genocide by Turkey of 20 cent ....so they are good,they are christians

It is part of Iran, or at least just north of Iran bordering Turkey. The people are known as `white Russians` and mainly speak Iranian.
