Sadly, that happened to me. But, my family was all that got saved. No clothes, pictures, nothing. Not even our shoes. We stood in the snow in our pjs and houseshoes and socks and watched the house burned to the ground while it snowed like mad.

i consider my pets part of the family so if they were already out. I'd grab my filing cabinet, it has our marriage certificate and birth cert.s in it. I'd grab a photo album and my recipe box. In all reality things are just that- things. family is the only thing you CANT replace!
