Then how can homosexulaity in nature be explained?

Homosexuality exists in all species.

Homosexuality isn't unnatural--it is caused by chemicals in the brain, most often balanced in a way tending towards homosexuality from birth.

Homosexuality isn't perverted--it is just the way some individuals are. It is no more perverted than heterosexuality.

Homosexuality isn't a disorder. At all.

Because the people who say it is unnatural, perverted, and a disorder are just trying to provide a reason for why they hate others. It's a load of crap, so people can really see how stupid the whole issue is. They are people, too, so treat them decently. They didn't choose it. To all the religious fanatics: When will you finally realize that homosexuality is not a choice, disease, sin, unnatural, and perverted? IT ISN'T! It is perfectly normal.

that's because homosexulaity is not unnatural. The only thing that is wrong is when people try to change a person's life just because they are uncomfortable with it. if someone is hoophobic, then thats fine, they dont have to be gay, but for those of us who are gay they dont have the right to tell us that we're wrong.

Exactly. That's what we were talking about in class one day. Some very immature people actually said out loud "I hate gay people", "I'm against homosexuality". Why? JUST because they are gay. It's like the Holocaust, Hitler killed people JUST because they were Jews. That's all. Now tell me there's something wrong with that.

"It's unnatural". Unnatural, shmatural. Animals do it all the time.
Let people be, if that's the way they want to be then let them. Homosexuals aren't trying to stop us from marrying the opposite sex are they? As long as they don't hit on me, why should I care about who they love and who they want to marry, right? That's none of people's f_cking business. If they don't like gay people, then why do they think about them all the time saying it's wrong? Damn, I'm sick of this world.

People have yet to convince me that homosexuality is unnatural or perverted or a "disorder".

Homosexuality was no longer classified as an illness in the DSM by 1973.

the argument that something shouldn't be done because it is unnatural is problematic on so many levels. First off, humans have for centuries, bent the rules of nature in order to make their lives more convenient, and no one seems to have a problem with that. How "natural" is it for us all to be communicating in lil boxes on our computer screens? Or perhaps, things are natural, simply because we, who are a part of nature, do them??

Well, you were obviously seeking to answer your own question in that it is ridiculous to view it as anything other than natural.

Might I add, it's not considered a disorder in the DSM, and hasn't been on the books as one for a few decades.

Plenty of things exist but that doesn't mean its the norm. In general, for humans, our needs are inherited and our preferences are learned. For example, we have a need to eat, we'll die if we don't. A preference to eat chocolate is learned. For a large number of people, probably even most, homosexuality is learned, it is not actually based on genetics. There are a few who are actually "born" with it but that doesn't mean its normal or even healthy. There are human hermaphrodites too, but that doesn't mean they're the norm. Something just happened during development that didn't quite set them on one track or the other.

I wasn't aware that an animal can be "homosexual." Anyway homosexuality can never be the norm because society would simply not be able to reproduce. Even homosexual couples who adopt are still dependent on heterosexuals.
