The latest news about it still revolves around Jack Black being assocaited with it. Apparently he is one of the driving forces to get it made at Warner Brothers. Apprarently, a script was written for him that was much more along the lines of a normal Jack Black character, and it was derired so heavilly it was scrapped. Jack Black, during the time of the release of the Pick of Destiny, said he was unsure if he would still do it. Regardless, its been said the the earliest the movie could now come out is 2009. So, my guess is with the recent derth of movies about comic characters, it is likely that it will get made, as long as movies like Flash and Iron Man are not complete flops.
