Modern quantum physics and mechanics so far says that for two massive objects to occupy the same space at the same moment in time is through phasing I.E. different dimensions in the same place and time but on separate timelines eclusive of each other. Each object exists at that location in that moment but due to phasing they do not interact with each other because they each occupy their own respective dimension.
Using my home library knowledge of current thinking, it seems the only way time travel may be possible is through phasing. We could observe but not interact with the physical objects in the other dimension. We could theorettically phase into this parallel timeline but the repurcussions could be devastating. It's all theory ATM but most of scince fiction throughout history from the earliest times has becaome reality at some later date. If Mankind can imagine it, we have the ability to make it happen. That has been proven throughout history.
All we need is freedom to express new radical ideas and work from there. I live in the USA, and although we have our own problems we in this country seem to all know that what I said above is truth. It takes money, perseverence, initiative, drive and a need to learn ever more so that we don't get bored here in our little cradle of life and decide WTH for??? The creator gave Mankind many paradoxes. Space, if it indeed infinite, gives us an unending cornocopia of science to study with our disproportionately sized brains and our opposing thumbs.
We have many millennia, if not Eons to do our work. IF we can keep from blowing our own selves up over petty squabbles in our cradle. Mankind needs to grow up. We are all adolescents still according to geological time. Lets not waste it.
MISTERCHICKIE----
You speak of planets, time itself coming to a stop... This is pure sci-fi. Anyone with a physics background knows what catastrophic consequences would ensue if any of the things you mentioned were ever to happen. They aren't necessary and impossible most likely so why go there? Within the modern and cutting edge arena phaseing is holding the most realistic promise of someday being able to 'fold' space-time upon itself in order to make distance a moot point. All of this is theoretically possible. We just need the financial backing to develop it.

You would need to build a contraption that would accept incoming matter from a future time. Unitil that is built, nothing would be able to occupy the same space. However, once it is built and turned on, millions of objects would be able to be accepted so detailed instructions must be included as to when to send things back from the future or else there will be an "overflow", sounds wierd, but makes sense.

No.
If I send you into space at the speed of light for only 1 year when you return, one year later, all your friends would have lived full lives and would be dead. That's time travel !
Two objects can never occupy the same space at the same time, although String Theory is questioning that.
Lets see what happens in science next.

To answer your question, yes. Location plays an EXTREMELY important role in time teleportation. If we had the technology to localize our universal-spacial coordinates to our exact location, then you could end up landing in a volcano.
Consider:
You are in your home, built over a massive inactive volcano that has had no activity for the past 500 years. (you are in the future)
You decide to randomly go into the past. You go back about 700 years. You can either end up about 200 feet up in the air above a massive active volcano, inside the rock, or merged into it, or even in the magma!
Now time travel itself is impossible. If you have read a certain theory concerning "dual-identity" or "uncertainty possibilities," there are many problems and impossibilites concerning time travel.

this question is far more complex than you may think...
time is NOT a dimension...it's a local ordinal device...it lets our mind line things up in a continum that makes sense to us...but just for the hell of it :
you are in San Diemas ,CA at 12 noon PST, Jan, 1 1980...let's stop all motion of all systems for just a sec.
that means - earth stops spinnin'
-earth stops rev. around Sun
-Sun stops draging us along it's rev. around our Galaxy
-Galaxy stops its dance with Andromeda
and so on....
bottom line...you don't occupy the space you think you do ! transport back to the past , and odds are , without proper temporal-spacial correction you will end up millions of miles from anything,
look up Hiesenburg uncertainty principle.
to Mr. Huxley....you missed my point completely, didn't you. Think "relative motion".
my head hurts...

I thing you are asking to hypothetical a question.
Since what you are proposing is imposible, then the universe in which your hypothetical question would work, would have different laws of physics. As al the rule of nature are now up for grabs who's to say what the correct answer to your question would be.
