look into a site called stumbleupon.com
it is a toolbar with a small 'stumble' button. when you hit the button, it takes you to a random page that has been flagged by other users.
you can give each site a thumbs up or down, so the stumbler learns your tastes after a while. when you start, you designate your favorite catagories (there are dozens to choose from) so you can find neat sites right away.
i know this seems like spam (maybe it is), but it is the best way to find neato sites all over the web.
