So my girlfriend rents this movie and comes over. Tells me she rented The Devil Wears Prada. Im thinking great-sounds like a suspense/horror type movie dealing with some demonic character trying to take over the world. Boy was i wrong. Chick Flick all the way! I sat there for like 2 hours bored out of my wits waiting for Lucifer himself to pop up, and the closest we get is some middle aged woman who is constantly on the period of her life-and chewing everyone out because of it.

ha. funny story. the exact same thing happened to me, flippin a huh? prada is a namebrand, mucho buckos, so it's sort've a status thing that women have. by the way im glad im not the only guy that got tricked into watching it.

Prada is a designer/brand name of expensive Italian clothing and accessories. The movie is supposedly based on a real life person, some editor or consultant from cosmopolitan or vogue. In other words, the movie is about this awful mean woman in the fashion/magazine industry that likes, demands and expects nothing but what's considered the very best in clothing, makes everyone around her miserable, and could be the devil incarnate in a woman's body. Yep, a chick flick all the way. Sorry you had to go through that dude.

Prada, S.p.A. is an Italian fashion company (also known as a "label" or "house") with retail outlets worldwide.

Prada is a House of Couture, where one of a kind fashions are developed and made. Like Halston, Hilfiger's, Channel, etc... Usually VERY expensive.
