Swelling is normal especially this late in the pregnancy. As long as your blood pressure is not high it is not serious. Just ask your doctor and your next visit. Which should be every week now. Do not take anything - especially water pills!! You could drink water with lemon in it (natural dieretic) and water is good for you and the baby. Hang in there once you deliver a few days later and you will see your lovely feet again. I just had a baby 8 months ago and was very swollen and my feet came back days later!!! Congratulations!!

Nope, water pills are bad. Your baby is surrounded by water. You don't want to lose any of that fluid.
Swelling is normal, as long as it goes away when you prop your feet up. If the swelling is there when you go to bed and you're just as big when you wake up in the morning, you need to tell your doctor ASAP. Swelling that doesn't go away can be VERY serious.

i could advise a million-3 tbsp. undeniable psyllium powder blended with a million cup prune juice. (commence with a million tbsp psyllium, use greater if that doesn't artwork). Then drink basically a splash (a million/4 cup to a million/2 cup) each and on a daily basis to make particular you don't get diarrhea. Wash it down with a million tall glass of water. pills are notoriously stressful to digest no remember what's in them. in case you get nausea or diarrhea from this, decrease back the quantity you're taking. Ginger could additionally help and has no undesirable effects once you're pregnant.

no! Diuretics are not good when your pregnant.
The swelling is normal, especially for as far along as you are.
when you notice extra swelling and pressure, you need to lay down and elevate your feet above heart level. I stack a few pillows and rest my feet on them, it helps the blood flow away from your feet and ankles and gets it flowing again.
Don't forget, you have almost twice as much blood in your body as you had before you were pregnant, its important to keep it circulating as much as possible.
As far as water retention goes, the circulating of your blood will help with the swelling. You will lose almost all of that water when you give birth, so much that they will have to replinish it at the hospital. So don't worry, you are not that far away. :)
Congrats to you .

NO NO NO!!!! No water pills unless your doctor gives them to you. Cut back on salty food to bring down the swelling.
Have your doctor check your blood pressure. I always swell up when my blood pressure is high (when I was pregnant).

Do not do this. As soon as you give birth you will get rid of all the water weight. And you'll be so happy looking at the scale! Wait. Don't harm the baby this late in the game.

Dont take anything dr. doesnt give you.
I know first hand however that they have not hurt my children. I am on a number of medicines and 2 of mine are water pills. I try not to take them as ordered, just when I REALLY need them.
