My friend was going to her military ball at her high school tonight and I wondered what it really was?

It's a dinner -dance affair where the people who are members of the military where their dress uniforms & escort their dates. Generally awards are given to people who have made special acheivements. I never went to a Military Ball As a teen but I've attended plenty as an adult, since my husband is a member of the Illinois Army National Guard & they have a Military Ball every year.
