I just wondered how that worked. I have heard sometimes that it becomes softer later on down the line, but I just wanted to know for sure.

I'm so glad you guys answered. I have been TTC for a year, and someone told me that if I was PG that my cervix would become soft, and if it wasnt that I wasnt pg. But I have been having alot of symptoms, and I spotted for 10 days from feb 11-20th. and I wasnt due to start until feb20th and nothing happend after that. Other than some symptoms. I took to HPTs 1 on the 14th and one on the 19th they were neg- but it may have been to early. So I decided to wait until the 11th of this month to see if anything happens before I test again...what you think?

When not pregnant and for most of a pregnancy, your cervix feels firm like the end of your nose. Towards the end of pregnancy, hormones start making the cervix soft like your lips so that it can open during labor and birth.

The closer you get to your due date the softer it becomes.
