Well, if it just happened I would say that maybe I would let them know I am there for them but chances are it's not real new after two years so I would just leave it alone. There isn't a whole lot at this point you could do to change anything that your friend hasn't heard by now so just be a good friend and keep it to yourself. If your friend wants to share it with you someday, he/she will but for now just be a friend. Maybe that person will feel comfortable enough someday to share it with you but I doubt you could be of an assistance at this point other than just letting that person know that he/she has a good friend. Honestly, bringing it up again to that person may cause them discomfort.

I think you shouldn't bring it up. Besides it happened 2 years ago & the person might be trying to get back on track. Talking about the past might just make it backfire.

You can still be there for your friend without saying anything :) Do little things that he/she will appreciate. Your friend will be pleased to know he/she has someone to count on :)

Gee, did he hurt someone or something? Rape or what? Would it change how you feel about each other as friends? Would it totally embarrass him? If so, let it go, some things are better unsaid! But if it's no big deal, talk it over, maybe he's like someone to talk it over with. Anyway, if you found out, what makes you think everyone else isn't going to know? You don't want him to find out that you may be are "laughing at him" behind his back. That would be hurtful!

If it happened 2 years ago I wouldn't bring it up. Bringing it up could leave bad images in the persons head for what ever they did.

There isn't any reason to tell him/her. If your friend wanted you to know, he/she would tell you on their own.
