If a woman has a baby, doesn't want it, leaves it somewhere. The woman is never found, and the baby goes to an orphanage. The baby goes from one foster home to another and is never adopted. NO ONE knows who the mother or father are. How does the baby get named? What last name does the baby get?

I am not talking about "John Doe", "Jane Doe" or "Baby Doe", I am talking about once the kid gets into school, but never has any parents.

A gypsy will throw a small frosty from Wendys onto the back of a goat and whatever name appears will be given to the child.

The social workers give the baby the first names when they are taken into foster care that couple has a choice of keeping the baby or letting it get adopted, so they can take the foster parents name or they take the adopted parents name.

In the U.S. new born babies are pretty much always adopted right away. They get the name of their new adoptive parents. It's the older kids that have trouble finding homes. In some other countries with large state run orphanages, they are given state names or no last names until they are old enough to pick one for them selves.

Usually the first foster parents will give the baby a first name and maybe a middle name. I don't know about the last name.

i guess they go to a foster home and take on that name and are given a first name or if they leave the baby somewhere, they take the last name of that family

Babies are so in demand to be adopted, that if there were no parents found, the baby would be adopted and named by its new parents.
