It is really affecting my willingness to learn. She is extremely mean and cruel. I asked her if she would like to talk with me face to face because I suspected she had something personally against me. We met, she gave me a load of bs and the next day she gave me hell and every other day I had her for class. She talks about me indirectly to other students when I am standing right there...should I confront her again or should I just let her treat me like s--t because she has power over my grade. She's really getting to me and my integrity and honor about myself is on the line. I hate how this country works! Coporate leaders with power abuse it and the ones below have the tolerate it. But, for how long?

I have lived a full life, and I hate it when those situations occur. Regardless of her psychopathological behavior toward you, your highest need is to succeed in the academics in the course. This is an opportunity for you to
gain skills in dealing with deviant authority, which will serve you well for they will randomly appear in your future. So don't drop out, be tough, not to her, plow the row, and she will soon be history, and you will have gained valuable skills.

Let her know that from now on you will be tape recording her entire lecture. If she says something rude or inappropriate to you then go above her (department head, dean, etc) and let them know- and show them the evidence. This should stop her.

You're right- she has power over your grade and if she is treating you in a disrespectful manner then she'll probably grade you unfairly as well. Keep a record of ALL of your work. That way, if she gives you a lower grade than you think you deserve then you can have someone above her look at your papers, exams, etc and see if you did, indeed, deserve the grade you received.

Good Luck!! Look like she just needs a power trip and she's abusing her power. How sad.

My younger brother had a similiar problem, so you are not alone. I will give you the same advice. Many times professors are jealous of students they feel are smarter. They put these students down to feel superior. She is the one with a problem, not you.

I wonder if your professor does this with other students? If she does, you can be assured that others see her in a negative way.

Don't "burn your bridges" (sorry for the cliche), unfortunately college professors can have a lot of influence on your future, so be careful what you do really think of all the possible outcomes before you react.

BTW, you say that you hate the way this country works. I assume you are from USA. I think it is like this everywhere, my brother got his education on Europe.

Good luck.

You don't have to tolerate it. It is better to get an F but by holding your head high, than letting her to treat you like s--t for a good grade. And if you do get an F, this is not because you are a bad student; this is because she is a bad teacher. Look her straight in the face and smile/

I had this same problem. I talked with someone in Student Services and found the Professor I had difficulties with seemed to single out a student each semester and pull the same bull with. Talk to someone else. This behavior may be noted by others in the school. Don't let someone walk all over you when they are suppose to be teaching you.

If it's legal in your state (or allowed in your classes) get a tape recorder and record her.

Then go to the Dean of Students.

I had a b*tch professor my first year in college, she would ask for my opinion and then tell me my opinion was wrong. What a pain. I sucked it up and stuck it out and pulled a bad grade.

Or you can drop the class and if possible take it again with another professor, I wish that was what I would have done.

Good luck, and avoid her in the future!

Clinton and Johnson weren't rednecks, yet technically speaking, Carter replace into. He replace right into a peanut farmer. The word redneck got here approximately in terms of farming, working the fields and, somewhat actually, getting a pink neck (sunburn). So it particularly is particularly a word it particularly is meant to insinuate truthful, stressful paintings. regrettably, human beings now associate it with human beings like Ernest T. Bass on the Andy Griffith teach. I lived interior the South for some years, and that i rarely ran for the duration of any Ernest T. Bass varieties.

I know this may sound stupid but you need to pray for her every day for a month because she is jealous of you, pray that she is given good things in her life, and go to the department of higher education also she has some personal problem and lashing out at you tha'ts why she teaches. pray pray. right now you are at war and you need to war in the way God says or you may loose the fight. it's cold but it is true fact when you pray for others it helps you especially your enemies!

Are you sure your not doing something to piss her off? Maybe you did something earlier and she has a grudge? Maybe she doesn't like you because you fit her stereotype of people she hates? My advice would be to just steer clear of her, don't say anything that gives her ammunition.
