Usually i plug it in and the light turn green and it charges but now the charger is chirping like a cricket and the light won't turn
i have the standard acer out of the box charger and ive been using it seince june.
i have 2 theorys but idk
theory 1. the charger is burnt out and i need to buy a new 1
theory2.the charger has been over used but i normally leave it pluged in all day.

no i have never spilt any thing on it it has never done this before i check diffrent outlets and still nothing i think they cost like $20 so ill just buy another charger or ill see if circuit city will just give me one because it's under warrenty.

I ahd a wire break in mine a few weeks ago. It would not charge. thank goodness I had bought a warranty.

Take the laptop to a computer store and test it. Usually they have cords that will work. I used to work at Dell kiosk - and people were always testing their chargers. By the way, they're a lot more than $20.!! Test first.

Sounds like the charger is burned out. Might be time to get another one. I hear from different people that they don't last that long, especially if you leave it plugged in all of the time.
I hope you get repaired soon.

Your theories might be correct. You might still be under warranty. Give the manufacture a call. You might just end up sending your broken charger to them for a new one.

Well either of those sound just fine looks like you need to buy another one but... I'd first suggest trying it in a few more outlets to be 100% sure.

I don't exactly know unless you give more information! Maybe it has water damage, maybe the wires in it got crossed, maybe its too old, or maybe something got torn off of it just like mine.
