My girl friend came over to help me paint the babies room. I bought a primer and latex paint. I got so dizzy that I couldn't reach out to the wall and over my head for more then 3 minutes. I had to leave the room for a long time before I was no longer dizzy. Well it took her a long time do finish by herself and she got the primer done. I have to finish it, she is from out of town and can't help and I am single, no one to help me. I am doing up to 5 minutes at a time and come out SO dizzy that i just sit forever and feel exhausted! Is this normal, I have been dizzy alot this pregnancy with the increased blood flow with baby. Oh, I am 24 weeks

My dr. told me as long as I opened up the windows and turned a fan on that it would be fine. My husband however won't let me help with things like that. Try to find someone else to do it for you and let your dr. know how you are feeling! Good luck.

Latex paint should be fine, but I know that I am sensitive to fumes to. The primer is no good for you or the baby. I would suggest hireing someone to come paint. Maybe your local highschool has a great art student you could pay to paint the room if you dont have the money for a profesional. If you are getting dizzy then you shouldnt be doing it. That goes for anything, not just painting. I fainted because of getting dizzy and split my nose open. It is not worth it. Also if you do decide to continue painting dont use a step ladder. if you are going to fall you dont need to fall from an extra couple of feet. Good Luck, I really hope you can find someone to help you, even if you have to pay someone.

I'm not sure about the paint, but I got dizzy which pregnant twice. Once I was up high painting the trim in my son's room, the other time I was cleaning bowls on the tops of my cabinets. Maybe being up higher causes dizziness?

STOP PAINTING. YOU ARE HURTING YOURSELF AND YOUR BABY.
Fumes are noxious during pregnancy. A pretty, painted nursery may seem like the most important thing to you right now, but your baby is not going to know that there isn't a fresh coat of paint on the walls during his/her first couple of months of life. What's important? Get the clothes and blankets ready. Make sure you have a generous supply of diapers, baby wipes, rash cream, etc. Save the painting for after your little one's arrival, when you're better able to ventilate the house and send the baby to daycare while you do it. That is much safer for both of you.

I don't think that you should be painting when you are pregnant. My mom is pregnant right now and she said that she can't paint the bedroom until after the baby is born. Maybe ou can get someone to help you, like a friend. You can turn it into a fun thing with music and snacks. That way it won't be as hard on you.

You shouldn't be using primer while pregnant...
People who aren't even pregnant shouldn't do primer without a mask and well ventilated area.
You are inhaling dangerous fumes.
I would not paint that is for sure....have someone come do it for you.
My hubby is a painter and i was not allowed anywhere near the paint when it was time to paint babys room...it is dangerous...especially primer

Painting is okay during pregnancy. I would call the dr's office to let them know how your are feeling. I painted 3 different rooms in our house during my pregnancy. (remodeling)
Good luck.
