It depends on the state. Most states allow up to the full sentence for EVERY time it happened. If they've been together twice a week, for a year, he could technically get the maximum 104 times over. It can easily add up to life.
In actual practice, that doesn't really happen. At those ages, he'd be most likely to get probation. If her parents really push it, he might get 1-3 years in jail. Any more than that would be extremely unusual. But the biggest problem isn't jail, it's the sex offender laws. He'd have to register for the rest of his life, which would limit the jobs he could get, and the places he could live, among other things.

This is going to depend on which state you are in. In some areas this would not be considered statutory rape because the age of consent varies.

In some states it can be as long as 40 years. Check the statute in your state. He may NOT be committing statutory rape...she is 16.

don't press charges against him. if you were, the minimum is probably two years. it depends on the state youre living in.
