If you wait for about a month then all the hardware companies will release their drivers for vista. It takes some time so you have got to wait. Even I have a similar problem as you do. I am also waiting.

Pay very close attention to the "Vista" talk here in answers! Never, ever, for any reason, get a Microsuck software release until it is at least 6 months old! Microsuck has NEVER had an initial reease of major software that wasn't full of bugs, incompatibilities, and security holes.

People who are getting Vista are Microsoft's beta testers..... everyone is having problems...So you'll just have to wait until the card mfg's come out with Vista compatible drivers.....
For me, I'm waiting for SP-2 before I upgrade.

you can go to the sound cards company website,there you will always find updated drivers.if you dfont know what card you have you can go to the website of the maker of your laptop.
