Why do people always chooses the wrong politicians during election? These politicians always turned-out to be the ones who are messing our country...not minding the sake of our poor brothers/sisters and improving the state of our country's economy but only doing the best for themselves...

Majority of the voters do not do the homework on the candidates in an election. Rather than understanding the issues of the candidates, they resort to listening to false advertisements and one minute sound clips on their candidates. In a democracy, we all need to do our part in making educational decisions when we vote.

Although I do not agree with your description of the problem, I will treat your question as a serious question deserving of a serious answer.

One reason that both parties tend to have a lot of political hacks among their numbers is mostly due to the fact that the voters do not get involved in their local government.

It starts with the local parties at the town level where the same group of regular politicians create their own little constituencies. Favors are exchanged and deals made. Eventually, a small political machine is born. A person of power controls this machine and any one who wishes to get anything done must deal with him. This machine grows and becomes more and more powerful. Soon they have influence with the state government by being able to deliver a large block of votes. Pretty soon no one can get elected in either party without dealing with and catering to the wishes of that party's machine.

This continues up to the state level where the Electoral College Delegates are controlled. The reason it works this way is that people pay no attention to politics until election time. Even then barely 25% of eligible voters turn out.

Some people don't like politics because they see it as controversial and a dirty business. So they only pay attention during the last couple of weeks before the election and then all they hear is one negative ad after another from all sides. The misinformed make poor decisions because they are poorly informed. In becoming informed one should consult several sources as some will be slanted one way, some the other way, and a few will be very centered. Investigate beyond the campaign ads which are obviously slanted toward their candidate.

Personally if a candidate doesn't want to talk the issues I am leery of him.

All of the choices are bad!!!!!!

It does not matter who you vote for. It takes money to get elected and you don't get the money unless you are a back scratching sociopath. The fact that any man has has a good run for president is reason enough to not turn your back on him. This is why I vote third party. I don't even care which third party as long as its one more vote that isn't for the main two. It lets people know I'm not apathetic and it isn't voting for someone I don't want in office.

dude the only reason people run for elections is for their own self, so they could have what they want making their life easier. They have to do somehting to cover it all up that makes them look good, so people won't start complaining, but either way, if politicians really wanted to make things better for the people, there would be a huge difference. its not horrible though. It could be much worse, but it also could be much better

It is like getting married too fast. Sometimes people luck out and sometimes they don't.
Maybe we need a longer debating time for these politicians so we can better chose.
Maybe WE need to work harder ourselves to study the candidates and don't get so hung up on PARTY but on who is the best candidate.

Like Harry Truman said, "You give them a choice between a republican and a republican, and they'll take a republican every time."
