Motrin and Ibuprofen are actually the same thing. It's just that Motrin is the brand name. Like Tylenol is the same thing as Acetominophen. But it all depends on how many milligrams the ibuprofen was that you took. The general rule is a max of 800 milligrams every 8 hours and you'll be ok. Any more than that, and it could start causing problems like ulcers and liver damage. Also, you might want to take it with food or milk as this will help keep it from causing ulcers and upset stomach.

Motrin and Ibuprofen are the same thing. Be aware that an overdose can damage your kidneys. I can't advise you on how much to take but the average prescription dose is 800mg every 4-12 hours 3200mg max in a 24 hr period. If you have any kidney problems at all try Tylenol instead. Other people on here should research or know what they are talking about before posting an answer. NEVER NEVER NEVER advise someone on something that you are not sure about. When someone is asking a question, they are expecting a knowledgeable answer.

motrin has ibuprofen in it. You can not take it until 4-6 hours after you've taken the ibuprofen. However you can take tylenol 2 hours after the ibuprofen. You can then switch every 2 hours from ibuprofen to tylenol if needed.

motrin is Ibuprofen. Motrin is just the brand name for Ibuprofen. It's should be each tablet is 200mg tablet. If you took 4 of them that is 800mg's. That is a prescription strength amount. You should be ok, just drink some milk or eat something so it doesn't bother your stomache.

It would not really be good for you. You can alternate the two of them about every 4 hours but I wouldn't take them any closer together than that. If after about 2 to 3 doses of each and you are not feeling better then you should be seen either by your physician or at the emergency room. However, if you have fever and it does not go down, then you should go in to be seen anyway. I have had the flu myself for a couple of days now, and I have felt horrible and not much has helped except Thera-flu. Hope you are better soon.

If you are in pain it is okay with milk or pepcid complete.

Motrin is a brand name of ibuprofen. Too many of them at one time can irritate your stomach, may cause bleeding and other gastric problems. Plus it can raise blood pressure that can cause light headness.

Mortin and Ibuprofen are the same thing. It is okay to take up to 800mg at one time but you have to wait at least 6 hours to take anymore. Be cautious if you have any blood disorders though - like bleeding easily and inability to clot - because Ibuprofen can thin your blood out.

I'm not a nurse or a pharmacist but my docs in the past have given me prescription Tylenol for 800 mgs so I would assume that it would be ok. They also said to take food with it because it would hurt your stomach. I would not continue it as a habit however, but that part is my own personal opinion

Yes if you do you can damage your liver. If for a headache get a product called head on. Or for a fever get a kool patch. Body aches? Get some Epsom salts and take a hot bath. You should always wait four hours before taking it again.
