My mom and dad are always saying don't wear red eyeshadow, dont wear so much black! I know I wear alot of black and I see nothing wrong with it! Its who I am and has been for like a year but know that I am expressing myself my mom wont lay off! How can I get her to lay of the make-up I wear and clothes I choose!

they just want you to be thier perfect virgin angel for the rest of thier lives.
its not thier fault, all parents would love that to be thier child. but the fact is, none of us children are, and they know that.
thier protests are just slow acceptance.
but you must know that you don't HAVE to wear so much black (im tryingto get over this myself, and have been fighting black-clothing addiction for nigh a decade now.)
i almost broke my addiction when i got a job at hot topic in high school. believe me, after seeing what complete morons (inmy area at least) wore those clothes, i didn't really want to associtae anymore. haha.
you could also try what i did, try throwing in a bit of grey to the mix and point out how much black you replaced (with grey of course) everychance you get.

Tell her that it's better for you to express yourself visually, rather than going and rebelling in a much, much more harmful way.
But the thing is, your parents love you and they're just doing the best they can. Give them a break once in awhile and I'll bet they'll reciprocate. Good luck.

Don't you just hate it when you spend many years raising a child and tons of money supporting that child and she won't listen to you anymore, even though she is still living in your house and relying on you for everything? Sigh. You and your parents disagree. You have the right to your opinion, but if you live with your parents, you should listen to them. Of course, I know you hate it when people tell you that.

yes i do hate that very much but some people are just trying to do what is best for us but still i think if we're old enough to make our own choices than we should decide what we can and can't do... do you agree...????

my mom`s always like that too. but i ignore her & wear makeup anyway. she needs to know that you`re a teenager & teenager do stuff like that. try to explain to her & i hope she`ll understand =)
