My last bike was a K100-LT and was a great tourer but too heavy. I only really ride for a half-hour at a time but really enjoyed the comfort of the BMW. I'm 6ft 1in so need a big bike and don't want to get sore too quick. Do racing bikes give you sore wrists and back? I don't really ride fast but obviously want a bike that I can push from time to time.
I want a balance between rider comfort/ feeling of being in control of the bike/ and speed (in that order). Any suggestions?

I have a K1200RS, Busa, ZX6R, and a V-rod. What do I ride most of the time? The K1200. Great all around motorcycle but I have done 5-600 mile days on most of them.

But you asked about different bikes. Any of these bikes can be modified to fit your body, within reason of course. For your requirements I would pick the VFR. It's a bit larger than the others and a decent all around bike. It's also considered a sport tourer rather than an all out sport bike. Tons of aftermarket accessories too.

I'm pretty tall, and don't fit very comfortably on supersports. So I would say go with the VFR; it's more of a sport-tourer compared to the GSXR or YZF. Also, you might want to take a look at a Katana, SV650, Ninja 650, or maybe even a DL650 V-Strom or BMW F800. Sit on a few for a long time and see what's comfortable for you.

ALTHOUGH I HATE HONDAS, they are the best sport bike to fit what your looking for......this really hurts me to say, i own a gsx-r 750 and have had a r-6 , r-1, gsx-r 600, and a busa (hated that bike)

Since you put comfort first The vfr is your choice, but since you only ride 30 minutes at a time i think your priorities are wrong.
