Are movies real dumb these days?

It depends on what you're talkin about. Sure, many mainstream flicks (or so they call them) are pretty bad (like Stomp the Yard, Alpha Dog, Rocky Balboa, Star Wars prequels [I-III], etc.) but there is a wealth of great indie flicks that are out. This is kinda like wut happened in the 60s, where movie companies were fastly running out of ideas so they put a bunch of bull**** in a theatres and called them a "movie". But, then movie companies started to mine out film schools for talent (Steven Speilberg, George Lucas, and Martin Scorceze (is that how u spell it, idk) anyone?) and then movies were much better. just now, we're repeating that 60s cycle, with a bunch of good indie films that should be put into the spotlight instead of these steaming piles of s***. It's just a repeat cycle of past events, hopefully...

yes and no. The underground and other national cinemas are always producing interesting work. However, Hollywood is in a slump just like it was in the eighties, when action and teen flicks became popular. Later, the studios were rejuvenated in the early nineties due to new digital video ascetics and when art house talent rose to make indie fashionable, back when Miramax had balls. Now these people have been embraced by the establishment. So, you will have to wait a while till Hollywood gets interesting again. Right now films are alright, hit/miss but nothing is really groundbreaking.

i completely agree. i admire horror flicks, besides the undeniable fact that it style of sounds like all of us i watch those days are in simple terms stupid. i wanna see a real/achieveable ghost tale, or homicide tale, or maybe basically a very creepy tale may be helpful. i hate how people act in horror flicks made at present. noone acts like that for the time of genuine existence... once you're traveling a haunted abode and additionally you're scared and additionally you hear a noisy noise upstairs and see a discern, IN genuine existence, you will RUN... yet no, in those crap action pictures, they only flow upstairs to verify what's going on... it somewhat is in simple terms one occasion, this is like that i sooo many horror flicks and this is starting to be older. the only way i think sturdy approximately even watching one now's if i settle for that this is in simple terms going to be humorous till now i start up it. chly, you're perfect! even comedies now are in simple terms intercourse and corny jokes. this is ridiculous
