I received a violation (meow) for " Not a question or Answer". Oh Yes , you can say &^%$#@ and """" and **** or just yes, yep or no. but some YA proficiency expert will nail you if "they" do not feel it is "not" within the "community Guidelines". There should be at least five abuse reoprts before an answer or question is removed, it would eliminate a lot of childish pettiness.
So my answer to be "YA complient" and "within the Community Guidelines" is: Yes I think people do respect each other, I learn a lot and enjoy different views.

For the most part, respect doesn't play a part in YAHOO Answers... respect on a personal level. As far as answers, I think people respect well-written, thorough answers.
I try to respect that everyone has a right to be here but as far as respecting someone's answers or questions, that respect is earned and based on behavior.

Yes, people do, it is the trolls that come in here and disrupt everything that people do not respect. There are many of those from both party's. But I think there are many more that ask and give good questions and answers. I just wish I didn't have to sort through them all the time to find good questions to answer.

No, they don't and sometimes it gets really bad, expecially in the evenings. I noticed that a lot of people don't stay with it to long, and they move on to other sites cause it gets senseless to try to interact. I noticed a lot of Republicans aren't answering to much anymore which is what they've been saying they should do.

I don't know these people personally. I cannot always tell whether or not they are truly taking a position or are just trying to stir things up.
I always try to treat other people they way I would like to be treated. When I ask a question I really am trying to find out something not just trying to insult people. I try to persuade people with my reply. I have strong opinions about many things and I usually can defend that position. If I am proven to be wrong I will re-evaluate my position not just stubbornly hang on to it.
If I can engage just one person who is currently being seduced by anti-American, anti-patriotic rhetoric and help them open their mind. I am satisfied.

Respect everybody even if they have misbehaved because you can get their respect by not replying in their negative comments and bad words.
