There may or may not be any radical changes and it may be tolerable.
It would take some time to speed up letting the atmosphere adapt.
The days would be 12 hours which could modulate the temperature in either a good or detrimental way.
We would not notice too much difference besides day and night.
It would wreak havoc with all our satellite and communications systems.
Gee,we may survive it but it could give us a hell of a ride.
Good thought!

In theory, gravity would double, and the atmosphere would condense, increasing air pressure, the days would shorten, and temperature would rise, I'm not sure (can't find my slide rule) if it would be enough to make the blood of most living things boil or not. I expect it would also increase plate tectonics and volcanic activity.

Days would be shorter...
Gravity slightly less. It would take a lot of calculating to see if it would cause excess atmosphere causing the planet to be uninhabitable.

If the atmosphere stuck... then weather would be more violent...

Overall it would be bad.
