I had them from about the same time as you.
They were harsh too!
I was in pain...and at times i siad to myself...i know i am dialating right now because this is just too painful not to be...and by golly every dr apt i was dialated more and more.
So they just kept coming until i had the baby at 38 1/2 weeks.
And that is only because she induced me because i was dialated to five...who knows how long the braxton hicks could have really went on...
I used a heating pad for short intervals...and got a homedics massager...worked wonderfully

I started having braxton hicks when i was 6 mo's pregnant, mine were not too painful and believe it or not walking and being active was what stopped mine, but i never did go into active labor i had to be induced so they could go on for the rest of your pregnancy. Just don't believe the wives tales about inducing labor, 'cause none of them work. I tried everything under the sun and even inducing me didn't work. they did it three times and i was overdue more than they think, my daughter was 11lbs 4 1/2 oz. good luck to you.

I noticed these practice contractions from early on in both my pregnancies. There were times during the last month, that they would last for several hours, but they never got longer, stronger or closer together like true labor contractions. I had spells of these contractions on a daily basis the last month.

I had Braxton-Hicks contractions months before I delivered. I believe I had them my entire 3rd trimester. There is really not too much you can do, but find what makes you feel comfortable while you are having them (i.e. sitting down, laying down, etc.).

Mine don't last more than 30 seconds, so they're pretty bearable, although like yours, uncomfortable. I just massage my belly where i feel the muscle is tightening. Try lying down on your side or get on your hands and knees when you get them until you feel some relief.
Good luck!

I've had them ever since 33wks and now I am 37wks...I know how you feel. I usually walk around a little bit and they go away. Or If I feel uncomfortable I try to do relaxation exercises, deep breathing, and it really helps.

Try laying on your side with a pillow under your tummy. Or, place a warm heating pad on your stomach.
