I like Baja Cantina that is said to be located either in Venice or Marina del Rey... Great place at any time of the day, very good food, great service and prices. Very close to the beach so perfect on a bright and sunny day if you want to have a nice walk and get some fresh air afterwards.

Try it, you might like it! Bon Appetit!

311 Washington Blvd
Marina Del Rey, CA 90292-5129

La Cabanita is the best Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles. It's located on the Montrose/Glendale border.

Then I would suggest trying Malo in Silverlake.

it is so unhappy and that i think of that's close down consistently. It replaced into the only real actual Mexican eating place in la. I worry that the Koreans are taking up that area of city with quite of a vengeance.

Ok this is a toughy! Try the potato tacos and margaritas at EL CARMEN on third street! There's always a wait for a table at EL COYOTE on Beverly. Try to get a seat on the patio... nothing fancy... just fun! There's two hidden gems that I crave WEEKLY but I can only remember the name of one... CHULADA GRILL on San Vicente Blvd.... the MOLE ENCHILADAS there are to DIE FOR! Everything on the menu is delish! Oh! Now I remember the 2nd! It's called LOTERIA and it's inside the FARMER'S MARKET on 3rd street. Again, nothing fancy... but there's ALWAYS people waiting! They have a cuban flavor... they serve fried plaintains, etc... but their enchiladas are sooo yummy! :) OMG I'm so hungry now! :P

There is a great Mexican restaurant on Sunset Boulevard. I think it's called The Illegal Enchilada.
