I hear you. There's XL and even XXL and XS. I've often wondered what happened to XM. My theory......pay attention, this is female logic (you're married, you should be well-trained by now).....my theory is that there is no XM because the clothing people couldn't decide which way to go with it. See, extra small means smaller than regular small and extra large means larger than regular large. So, would extra medium be smaller or larger than regular medium? Quite a dilemma isn't it? The whole thing would just create too much confusion. Did you get all that?
