Sounds like your dwarf girls are possibly playing. Dwarf hamsters are social by nature, the Syrians however are the solitary hamsters. They tend to make a lot of noise and box at each other when they do this. Unless you see any bite marks and/or blood they should be alright. We house several cages with 2 females in each and they do this a lot, they squabble with each other, but usually there's no bite wounds or blood. Are they both the same age or is one a bit older then the other. With dwarfs they should be as close to each other age as possible. Never put an older one in with a baby however, that's when you will get the fights. They can kill each other in that case. We use to breed Russian dwarfs over a year ago, but now we only rescue any small animals from bad situations or ones with injuries.

Just keep an eye on them and only separate them if there's any aggressive type behavior like biting or any blood.

These are the only breed of hamsters where the male will help inthe birthing process and raising of their young. Syrians will kill their young if male and female are left together.

I have a hamster myself, and I've read a bit about them. You aren't supposed to put hamsters together, becuase they really don't get along. My friend had some hamsters together too, and they wound up killing each other, which you don't want to happen!

We had two that did that and I thought they would learn to get a long, but they didn't one killed the other. A lot of hamsters do not get a long with one another and do not like to share space. You should probably seperate them.

Hamsters are NOT social creatures. They make noise when they fight. Keep them apart, and alive.
