If he doesn't get him sloshed and put him on the boat or plane. If he doesn't, maybe you at least will be pleased with the results!
I think it wonderful for someone to go out of their way to give a husband a very long holiday like that one.
If he asks why you can't go, simply explain tickets like that are costly but you did not want to deprive him of the chance of a lifetime.
