It depends on the type of pain killer. Some pain killers block neurotransmitters that signal pain to your senses. You should look up meds and see if any block certain senses.

I wouldn't advise taking any medication. I have my nose pierced, 11 in my ears, snake bites, and labret done. I have never expierienced any unconditional pain during any of these.

If you are still afraid that you may have problems during the piercing you should talk to the piercing artist before you get it done. They are always more then helpful and make sure that you are as comfortable as possible.

I do suggest that you get it done at a parlor and not at a kiosk in the mall. The kiosks often use piercing guns which can damage the skin more than needed. While, at a parlor they will use a hallow needle that will cause as little damage as possible.

I think itll still hurt. But cartilage piercings dont hurt that much, actually its just like someone pinched your ear and then it stops hurting and eventually gets numb.

Yes, it will still hurt.

But ear piercings aren't that painful anyway.

Cartilage seems worse because it's a slower process, but it's okay.

Yes, you will still feel pain. Your best bet is to numb it (with ice) really-- really-- well before the piercing. Good luck!

Sorry but, IT WILL HURT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You would have to like completely numb the area that you are getting pierce, and that would only work if you were getting your ear pierced. Please tell me you are!
