Paragraph 175 was a great film...it's about the nazi's persecution of homosexuals, it covers the one and only known homosexual member of the nazi regime and even shows a quote hitler himself wrote when his officer's sexuality was disliked by other members of the party, and has interviews from the 10-15 still living men who were put into concentration camps for being gay....was very interesting, and of course sad. also educational. Coming out Under Fire is another documentary about our own army and gays serving in WW2 era...I have yet to see it, but have heard good reviews. You dont need to be gay to care about and learn about this history, espescially since it's still such a hushed subject when it comes to the army, etc....good for people to know that this is nothing new.

another great documentary, actually a series, is "The UP Series"....it started back in the 50's I think...a man interviewed a bunch of kids when they were 7, then they're interviewed again at 14, 21, 28, 35, and 42....each age is a 1-2 hour episode. When I first saw this series it was advertised ad the complete set and it seemed as if no more would be made, but I recently saw that they've done another set of interviews at 49.
