Diamond Brothers and Gatekeepers series are both by Horowitz who wrote the Alex RIder books, so you might like them. James Patterson's Maximum Ride series is good, too.

Moves Make the Man by Bruce Brooks

Hoops by Walter Dean Myers

Atami Dragons by David Klass (baseball--don't let the title fool you)

Chris Crutcher is good too.

My most recent sports book (that I read) was Raiders Night by by Robert Lipsyte. It was very good. You probably have already read most of Chris Crutcher's books...but if you haven't you should. I really liked Whale Talk. You can read the first chapters of most of his books online at his website:
Whether your answer is yes or no, you might enjoy perusing these chapter one excerpts, courtesy of HarperCollins/Greenwillow.

CRAZY HORSE ELECTRIC GAME
STOTAN!
RUNNING LOOSE

Rash by Pete Hautman is another great book with a slightly sports-related theme. The main character plays football and runs track...but is so much more than just a sports book. :) Anyway, it is very funny. So I would definitely recommend that.

I recommend "Love That Dog" to all.

It's not sporty or anything, but it's a must read in my opinion.

My favorite from when I was about thirteen was Airborn by Kenneth Oppel. An AMAZING book for your age and up. Go check it out!
