The thing that I dislike most about the car is the amount of road noise the car makes. Driving on the city streets isn't too bad, but once I get on the highway, I have to turn the music way up just too drown it out. What are some things, if anything, that I can do to reduce the road noise, even if it means going to a professional car shop?? About how much money is it going to cost me to do these things?? Only other dislikes about the car: kinda cramped interior and occasional blind spots, otherwise, it's awesome. I get compliments on it all the time. Also, if I wanted to get some things installed now that I didn't want installed originally from the dealership, can I contact the dealership now and have them do it?? Thanks !!

Well, the options I purchased initially were the cargo mats, wheel locks, side airbags, mudguards, and scion security. But now, I think I want the fog lights and the rear spoiler to give it a "more aggressive" look.

If you're riding on stock tires, that is the main problem. You will have to upgrade to some better tires. I went with Toyo Proxes 4 and love them! They really cut the noise level down ALOT. Top of the line tires are gonna cost you anywhere from $100-185 per tire. Check out www.discounttiredirect.com or www.tirerack.com for awesome specials. I also have aftermarket wheels, and decided to go no further than 18", any higher and you'll rub, will be loud, and bad gas mileage.

Another thing to do is sound deadening your interior. This requires either a do it yourself and lots of knowledge on how to disassemble the interior, or taking it to a stereo shop who will charge ya alot....there's a sweet website called ScionLife.com and there's lots of tech help. Threads that show you exactly where every screw is and how to do it. Good luck!

I don't have much noise from the road in my '05 tC, and I don't believe there have been any changes from the first model year. The only noise issue I have is that my sunroof lifts up at high speeds and I get wind whistling. It doesn't leak at all though. I know some vehicles have a foam-type soundproofing that is sprayed into areas of body panels but I don't believe Scions have that. Also, there is always the possibility that any modifications may void your warranty.

You can have any of the Scion accessories installed at any time, the only thing is that you have to pay the full price after the purchase, instead of financing accessory costs into your loan.

O, what up man. Yo u got some weird contacting methods u should of just sent me a direct e-mail. First off if ur car is making alot of noise at high speeds i would contact the dealer cause its a brand new car ir shouldn't make any noise. The only thing i could think of is u have crapy tires on it and it makes the car ride shity. But ill talk to some of the mechanics and my job to see what the problem could be. Also what do u want to put on ur car performace parts or just bling. If i were u look around and ask about people about any good speed shops around where u are. Look for good prices, but don't buy **** brands just let me no what u want to do and ill tell u wants good. I'll keep in touch and talk to u later

I also have a tC but it is an 06. A few things that can be easily upgraded that may affect road noise are your tires and springs. I added 19" wheels to my car with Hankook tires and the road noise isnt too bad on freeways. And yes I'm sure scion would be happy to install new things onto your car. What did you have in mind?

I wold ask the Pro shop, which ever one you take it too. i think that upgrade and tuning in the suspension and tires helps. those are the only things i can think of. where the rubber meets the road is the source of your noise, in addition with the wind drag on all the non-aerodynamic parts outside your car. the wing would definitaly be a better look, along with the fog lights. add them, along with a more then stock suspension and tires!

they are made with cheap metal. take out the trim panels and buy some of that sound deadner and put it on the wheel wells and floors and inside the door panels that'll get rid of the road noises.

research tires. Keep in mind if you go wider or bigger sized, you get more noise. keep the set-up the same, shed the original cheap tires for some soft compound low noise mre pricey ones.
