Hi Elliot,
I say this...No matter what happens in your life, and the mistakes you make... You have the difference to make someones life better, just by a smile or a hello... If you treat people the way you want to be treated, you will see how much of an effect you have by your actions....
>>>>>>>
A logical life/meaning full : Is living great, whether you are rich or poor, because no matter what "status quo" you are living under, "you" can always make a difference whether it is for yourself, or for someone else.... :)
>>>>>>>
Life is what you make it........
So, enjoy it...you only have : "one" ..no second chance......
>>>>>>>>
Thanks, for the question!;)

My regards!

Take care! ...and all the best to you!:-)

First of all nothing about life is logical. Things happen that no one has control over or sometimes even understand. Hope is what gives people a reason to live and even that is illogical. Not only does it differ from person to person but it is an intangible that can't be counted or measured. It can only be felt and we are, if nothing else, emotional people and that perhaps is why it keeps us going from day to day.

Do you have a logical reason not to? Do you have family and friends that love you and that you love? Do you enjoy seeing new things and learning new things? Obviously, you do or you would not be on here asking questions. If you are depressed then please see your physician as soon as possible and get some help. This is nothing to be ashamed of, as there are many of us who are, and get treatment for it and are the better for it. Not getting treatment is shameful because there are so many blessings in life if you just stop and look around you will see new ones daily. God Bless and good luck!!

I ask this same question once in a meditation. The answer came clear as a bell.

It said I have placed you here to learn the true meaning of Love. What ever it was that was answering then told me something that really set me back. It said that I felt the way I did about certain people because I did not understand the true meaning of love. I protested and said that I did my best to love all of the people who were deserving of love.

It replied "yes that is your misunderstanding. You see love as something that you dole out in tiny little portions here and there to people who you have judged to be worthy of it. This is not love at all, it is only judgment". This stopped me dead in my tracks. I suddenly realized that what it was saying to me was true. This realization brought me to tears. It went
on and told me, "You treat love as though there is some shortage of it. It is not something that you can run out of. The more love that you give, the more love that there is in the world. Its that simple. The only way that there can be a shortage of it is if you hoard it and keep it to yourself."

It went on to explain, that "this is what Jesus was trying to tell you when he asked you to turn the other cheek, to judge not and to love your neighbor. He made no exceptions in these things that he requested of you. Why are you making exceptions, and judging some as worthy of love and others as not? Jesus fully intended for you to apply this love that you are to all, in a universal manner without any judgment of any sort". By this time the tears Were flowing freely. I was crying because for the first time in my life I Understood what the message Jesus left for us in the bible actually meant.

This has become my truth. I can't say what yours is for sure, but I have a feeling that it is probably similar.

Love and blessings

If by logical you mean a reasonable reason to live, then yes: for others.

I feel we are just ordinary mortals with a limited life span. We haven't come here to stay. Some day, we have to go away. Before we go, we should leave behind good memories, doing something good for others and ourselves.

Yesterday, my wife visited a lively young friend who has been battling to live for the last few years. She knows her strength is ebbing away slowly but she has come to terms with life. Whether she lives or dies, she still laughs and talks to everyone. She enjoys listening to the soft piano CD that my wife gave her with our good wishes.

Last week, a German friend visited us and told us that one of her friends will be arriving soon from Germany with her eighty-nine years old mother. Like our younger friend, her mother has also gone through major surgeries. She has lost all her intestines and now survives only on an astronaut's (liquid) diet. Yet she travels East every winter to a tropical island resort. She is in high spirits and wants to live as long as she can.

Both of them have their reasons to live. The younger one, who knows that there is no chance to live long, continues to live from day to day. The older one is still enjoying life, not worrying about the day when she will die.

The secret of their survival is the strength of love. But, love alone cannot sustain life without modern medical miracles.

All my evenings now belong to my wife. She is my reason to live. We have both gone through many hardships and health problems. We have struggled, survived and revived through the strength of love and devotion to each other. With the grace of God, we can afford modern medical treatment too.

There was a time when I used to listen to Perry Como’s song, “I'm Always Chasing Rainbows", without thinking about the purpose of life.

I still watch the splendour of a beautiful rainbow in the sky on a rainy day. Rainbows come on a sunny day after the rain and slowly fade away. We must continue to dream watching the beauty of nature and live on.

Given the only alternative to continuing to live it remains the only logical thing to do.

Is it logical to live? NO. Why should you live? Because you MIGHT get love, hope, happiness. Life has no guarantees.

Physical theory: An object in motion tends to stay in motion.

Are you living? Then you are in motion. Logically, you should stay in motion/ continue living.
