Some friends and I are going to a resort 2 hours south of Barcelona for 5 days, after which we'll be spending 3 days in Barcelona itself. What should we do during those 3 days? We're in our late 20s-early 30s but there is also a 2 yr old child with us. Thanks.

Stay in or near the Ramblas or in the Gothic Quarter just to the east. This is a good base from where you can explore the city's sights by day including Gaudi's masterpiece, the unfinished Sagrada Família Cathedral, and Parc Güell in the north. Go to EL BARRI GOTIC you will find many things to do around there, walk around Ramblas , visit the Cathedral, the Roman city (great visit the old roman city is under the cathedral) , go to the Picasso Museum , restaurants in the area are great. HAVE FUN
