I'm Jamaican and Dominican. And people are always confusing me for a Braziallian girl or a lady form Ethiopia. People say that I don't look like I'm a Black American woman because my hair is natural and I have very exotic foriegn accent. I don't really have an accent. Has anyone been confused for another ethinicty?

Cause there are manu ethnicities in brazil.... about looking Ethiopian???? hmm..... I'm not sure about that.
and yes people HAVE asked me if I was mixed with another ethnicity..... the answer is always a solid "NO" as I am 100% black and PROUD : )

I'm part Dominican myself. I've seen many Dominican women so I think I could tell the difference. Maybe some people just aren't use to seeing a Dominican women where you're from.

i am puerto rican/ west indian black. I am also really light skineed i have been told by people of different races that i look like them. I have been told i look Indian and Arab and even if you can belive this Russian. Usually by the people of that culture. I guess that is what happens when you mix beautiful races everyone wants you to be one of theirs

lol I'm Dominican and Haitian i have heard it all from Brazilian to west African to Ethiopian to Cuban , even Trinidad it's amazing people don't ever get it right lol! but I'm brown skin with curly hair what makes me different nothing if you ask me but yes i know what you mean

Well I live near a lot of Somali's so I am often mistaken for one of them. This lady once apologized and said "Im sorry, you look African" .... lol. easy mistake.
